Overview

For centuries Russia and China have gone through multiple political and economic upheavals hand in hand. In the 21st century, Russia's and China's commercial and geopolitical interests have reached a stage of alignment, with Hong Kong emerging as a venue of choice for resolving Russian-Chinese disputes. In that context, Fangda Partners is honoured to host His Excellency Mr Kozlov The Consul General of the Russian Federation in Hong Kong at a lecture reception, where Mr Kozlov will speak on Hong Kong’s role in the Russian-Chinese relationship. Mr Kozlov’s speech and welcome remarks will be followed by a keynote address by The Rt Hon. the Lord Goldsmith QC, on Hong Kong’s judicial independence and on the importance of neutral dispute resolution venues such as Hong Kong in the era of changes in international political and economic landscapes and the accompanying challenges to the existing global investment and trade patterns. The lecture will take place at Hong Kong’s iconic Helena May Club at 35 Garden Road. Drinks and refreshments courtesy of Fangda.
