Gavan Griffith QC was Solicitor General of Australia between 1984 and 1997 and now practices as a commercial and investments disputes arbitrator out of Essex Court Chambers, London. He was delegate and sometime Vice-Chairman of UNCITRAL, including for the adoption of the Model Law, and a member of the PCA for almost 20 years, with other engagements such as consultant legal counsel to the United Nations, visiting fellow at Madgalen College Oxford, and counsel and agent before the International Court of Justice.
